El Lodge, Ski & Spa is an alpine-style boutique retreat situated in the Sierra Nevada, constructed from Finnish timber and showcasing vintage ski decor. The hotel combines the ambiance of traditional chalet living with modern luxury. Nestled at 2 meters above sea level, it offers ski-in/ski-out access to 124 pistes, making it the southernmost ski resort in Europe.

El Lodge is strategically located in Monachil, providing direct access to the Maribel piste of Sierra Nevada ski station. Complimentary shuttles operate to the central Pradollano area from 8:00 am to midnight. The hotel is approximately 55 km from Federico Garcia Lorca Granada-Jaen airport, ensuring ease of travel for guests.

Each of the twenty spacious rooms and suites features floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces with mountain views. My stay at the hotel was heavenly with top-notch service, but the room was a bit too hot. The location was superb for ski enthusiasts, but the dining setup could be improved.
